This is something that should be reported to Gnome, as there's nothing anyone here can do about the issue ...

You're probably in some firewalled network, which is intercepting the connectivity check in a weird way. The check page http://nmcheck.gnome.org/check_network_status.txt returns "NetworkManager is online" as expected for me.

Please refer https://askubuntu.com/help/on-topic, Ubuntu and official *flavors* of Ubuntu (https://ubuntu.com/download/flavours) are on-topic on this site. The on-topic link provides alternate SE sites for non-Ubuntu OSes. *The `apache` version you mention is too old for an supported release of Ubuntu and you only mention off-topic OSes*

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
