Error running modemmanager

jp flag

I'm working with Ubuntu 20.04.02, modemmanager, and Telit LE910 Cat 1. I'm able to install modemmanager, it detects the modem and everything looks correct. But when I try to start Modem-Manager-gui it gives the following error:

/usr/bin/deb-systemd-helper: error: systemctl preset failed on ModemManager.service: No such file or directory

It also gives me the following error.

(modem-manager-gui:87228): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 14:11:01.931: gtk_tree_model_iter_nth_child: assertion 'n >= 0' failed

Thanks for your help

Please add the output of two next commands `apt-cache policy modemmanager` and `dpkg -S ModemManager.service` to the question.

The GTK assertion is likely not relevant to the problem and can be ignored unless the GUI looks broken.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
