running existing project

I'm new to VS Code and wandering around a bit in the dark.

I have a large linux cmake project. I can configure and build all the targets from the command line.

When I load the project into VS Code, and run "CMake: Configure" and "CMake: Build", I get a lot of compiler errors during the build step.

Is it an easy thing to set up VS Code so that the configure and build are exactly as the command-line options?

Thanks.

Is seems like this question might do better on Stack Overflow as it's not specific to Ubuntu. Good luck!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
