How to fix resize/move problem in /dev/sda1 using GParted?

in flag

I want to resize my /dev/sda1 in order to create a new /home partition in my Ubuntu. However, I realize that the minimum and maximum sizes are the same, hence I am unable to resize it.

My /dev/sda partitions as shown in GParted:

Is there a way to fix this or another way to go about with creating a separate /home partition?

The *padlocks* in the picture are there because the partitions are mounted (cannot be re-sized whilst mounted). It's easiest to skip this by booting *live* media and doing resizes from there.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
