Hybrid Graphics - Ubuntu doesn't detect internal GPU

za flag

I have a MSI GL72M 7REX Laptop, with Intel HD Graphics 630 and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.

After spending a long time with Win10, then Ubuntu, and finally Lubuntu, I recently switched back to Ubuntu (20.04 LTS), I did a fresh new install from scratch. I created a root partition and a /home partition on a NVMe SSD, ad everyhing seemed to work fine.

However, when I wanted to install additionnal drivers for my interal Nvidia GPU, there was no available drivers. I tried to manually install it from the official website, but the installation failed because it didn't detect a compatible card. So I tried the command lspci to see if Ubuntu sees it at least, but only my intel hd graphics is showed. I tried entirely reinstalling Ubuntu but it didn't worked.

Please note that it is the first time it is happening, my previous ubuntu install has perfectly detected my gpu without problems.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
