I am using Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS on virtual box on my hp laptop. After installation, i won't be able to see my graphical desktop environment

After restarting all i see is a black interface asking me to login. After I do so, it won't boot to my desktop but rather remain on the black interface like a terminal. I searched for solutions online and tried installing "tasksel" ( sudo apt-get install tasksel )but it fails and says "Temporary failure resolving 'gh.archive.ubuntu.com' " "E: Failed to fetch gh.archive.ubuntu.com" and "E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --Fix-missing?"

Does the virtual machine have enough memory and graphics memory allocated to it?

You said you're using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS; is this perhaps a server install? (it has no GUI/desktop). You've tagged lubuntu, but make no other mention of it. Temporary failures are as the message says; usually *temporary* which can be a problem on your LAN, or between you and the Canonical server; trying again usually helps; though if problems exist in your sources - we cannot read the messages (being limited to only what you provide), so I'd read them all yourself looking for other issues.

Yes - the server install has no GUI with it. If you manage to setup the network you can install it using: "apt-get install ubuntu-gnome-desktop"

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
