My mic wont work on ubuntu

I don't know whats going on but when I try to use it People say all there is white noise. I tried using the terminal to fix it but no luck I Have a random xlr mic and I've checked the inputs to make sure it's the right one and it is.

Have you tried using another mic? Or check that the Mic is properly plugged in.

my mic is pluged in it works with windows but doesn't want to work with linux

Where are the details so someone can give help? What version of Ubuntu? How is the mic connected? What exactly in the terminal have you done to try and fix it?

@Timroin maybe check your OS settings or game or software you are using and check if you got the mic enabled. Sometimes it can be disabled by default.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding.
