Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS red screen flickering after sleep - Nvidia GeForce GTX 680

in flag

I am a novice user on Ubuntu. I have installed Ubuntu 20.04 on my old desktop pc with an Intel® Core™ i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz × 8 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 680. When the Computer wakes from sleep i have red flickering lines around the window edges.

I let the normal gui installer run and closed the Program. Later on i installed the NVIDIA driver i thought were appropriate via:

sudo apt install nvidia-driver-470

I did not uninstall anything. I found the following threads here but to be honest i am not really sure were to start as these Problems all sound related but slightly different:

If i manually enter str+alt+F1 and lock back in the problem is gone, but this seems like a very cumbersome solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
