run vscode with admin privileges

ie flag

I started using Ubuntu a few days ago, so I'd be glad if any1 could answer this question in a very user-friendly way.

I'm using the command code . to run VS Code in WSL, but there's some things I can't acces since I don't have admin privileges. I tried to use code . as root, but get this message:

Command 'code' not found, did you mean:

command 'cdde' from deb cdde (0.3.1-1build1)
command 'cde' from deb cde (0.1+git9-g551e54d-1.1build1)
command 'node' from deb nodejs (10.19.0~dfsg-3ubuntu1)
command 'tcode' from deb emboss (6.6.0+dfsg-7ubuntu2)
command 'ode' from deb plotutils (2.6-10build1)

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
