Ubuntu 20.04 no login screen

mw flag

My Ubuntu machine will not show a login screen when turned on.It’s an known working install.I do get the Ubuntu splash screen on boot but after that the screen just goes black. None of the information I found online seems to help. I would also like to add that I did not do any software updates before this happened. Help would be appreciated

A new install that has never worked or a working install that has stopped working?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
