Wifi adapter not found in Ubuntu

I have installed a usb wifi adapter , but when going into the settings to connect to a network it shows:

But this doesnt make sense to me , because lsusb outputs:

Isnt that the wifi adapter?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding.
