lightdm fails to start sometimes or double login necessary

pe flag

I'm on Ubuntu(studio) 20.4. with XFCE and everything was working fine. Last week I activated the backports to get some recent (audio) software and (possibly) since then I'm having some issues with the login. I realized that sometimes after entering the password the screen becomes black and the login window comes up a second time. Today the login window didn't come up at all and the screen was black for a minute or so. I could enter a second console and when switching back the login window was there.

In the journal I found the following lines:

So maybe there's an issue with lightdm. The same lines started emerging in the logfiles end of August which coincides with enabling the backports.

Can anyone help to get this solved?

I don'nt know if there's any connection, but I also had such logs in the journal since activating the backports:

What I did to solve this is described in this thread:

https://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/dconf-warnungen/

I installed the package dconf-cli and did:

sudo dconf update

Does no one have an idea. It works most of the time, but just now the login window was loaded twice.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
