Realtek ALC887 Problems on my homebrewed stationary computer

Ok, ok, so; here's the deal: I've just installed ubuntu 20.04 LTS - I'm new to Linux, played around with it on my raspberry pie a bit. Anyhow, all is fine except that my motherboards integrated sound card isn't detected, can't choose it as output, instead ubuntu choose to play the audio through my monitor speakers. The jack in the back of my computer, connected to the motherboard, get me sound to the headphones through something called starship/matisse HD audio controller, and with sound I mean I can hear it in pulse audio when I adjust the volume, not in the rest of the system.

My motherboards is a B550M S2H (rev. 1.0) with realtek ALC887 sound.

Edit: got it working with starship/matisse by fiddeling around a little, can't really say what I did right but now it works. If I ever unplug the headphones while the computer is on and put them back in again I need to open pulse audio, go to configurations and change it from off to on. The problem with laggy sound and scratch noises (that I also had before but decided they were a secondhand problem to deal with later), still persist though.

What are mothercards? monitor sound card is this a card or two different things? What messages without them how is any one able to have a clue what is wrong?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
