Proper Way To Use prunepath command

dj flag

I'm taking an Intro To Linux course, I'm not completely unknowledgeable with Linux, because I started using it as a main OS before I started the course, however, the textbook kind of confuses me with wording how they exclude files, directories and filesystem and doesn't give a proper example on how to use it. To keep this a Ubuntu related question and not a "Linux in general" question, how do you use the pruning command in Ubuntu, like a proper example. Please keep it as simple as you can, I'm only a casual user of Linux, I'm not an advanced user.

Did you look at the man page for the command?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
