Black Screen after installation on old iMac

tz flag

Just installed ubuntu onto an old iMac (9.1 2009). Seemed to be working ok until rebooting where I'm faced with a black screen with non-blinking cursor. I don't see any text before this. Have tried a few things like booting in nomodeset but nothing. Tried reinstalling the OS from the USB stick but this doesn't work either. Any suggestions? Thanks Robin

You did or did not install Ubuntu? Your question is not clear and what version of Ubuntu is it?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
