Stuck in grub shell

br flag

I have Ubuntu18.04 installed on a Poweredge R640 server. Kernel version initially was 5.4.0-42-generic. I needed to downgrade to kernel-5.0.0.23-generic version. I followed the following steps:

sudo apt search 'linux-image-5.0.0-23-generic'
sudo apt install 'linux-image-5.0.0-23-generic'
sudo apt install 'linux-headers-5.0.0-23-generic'
sudo update-initramfs -u -k all
sudo update-grub

sudo reboot

On rebooting, server went to grub shell and I am unable to choose any kernel version from there, thus unable to reboot the machine.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
