OpenVPN not changing IP when accessing nginx server on the same server as the VPN

rs flag

I'm hosting a CRM on a Ubuntu 20.04 server with Nginx. And I recently noticed weird IPs connecting to my server from russia and china, so I blocked everything except our work IP for accessing it with UFW.

But now, I want to be able to access it using a VPN, so I installed OpenVPN and allowed the servers IP with UFW. But when I access my domain, it still gets blocked. When I check my IP on whats-my-ip, it successfully changed, but when I check the UFW log, it's blocking me, because it seems that when accessing a service hosted on the same server as the VPN, the IP does not change.

Any idea how this can be resolved?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
