Can't escape back to mac OSX bigsur after Ubuntu Mate dualboot install

cn flag

Last night, I decided to tinker with installing Ubuntu Mate 21.04 on my 2015 Macbook Air. I am totally blind, and am very interested in Orca developments with Google Chrome. I did some looking, and some instructions told me to install the refind boot manager. Not knowing how accessible the OSX recovery menus would be, I decide to go ahead and install the Ubuntu system, and install refind from there, since I have familiarity with terminal. Here's my problem. I added the repo, installed refind, and now can't escape back to mac OSX. I see notes about using a pre-boot partition? How do I fix this, so I can get back to mac OS if needed? The mac os partition is still in tact, as I shrunk it before installing Ubuntu mate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I forgot to mention that I am running Mac OS bigsur with the latest updates.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
