Password protect pdf with terminal and bulk protect

ng flag

There are a lot of questions similar to what I am looking for, but I believe my use case is different.

I have learned of two ways to protect a PDF via the command line:

qpdf --encrypt test123 test123 40 -- input.pdf doc_with_pass.pdf

And:

pdftk [mydoc].pdf output [mydoc.128].pdf owner_pw [foopass]

However, I need a way to protect files without the password showing, similar to the way we type a password when updating or upgrading the system.

Is there any way to accomplish this? I also need to have the ability to set the same password for a group of PDF files in a single folder. Is this possible?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
