Old Quantuum Snap NFS Server Denies Permission to touch a new file

tv flag

I connected a PC client (running Ubuntu 20.04 updated with nfs-common) by ethernet thru a switch to an old Snap Server that is configured to allow anyone access to the share known as drive1. I have no problem mounting this share on the client. I can "ls" any directory on the server. I can even remove files or directories. But when I try to create a new file with "touch" or try to create a new directory with "mkdir" I get a "permission denied" error. I preceded my commands with "sudo." I tried incorporating a "-o rw" switch in my mount command with the same result. I realize I'm trying to use a 20 year-old server that has an unmodifiable OS but it still works fine with a Windows client. Any suggestions?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
