Booting Ubuntu on a USB hard drive on a Lenovo Thinkpad

us flag

I am trying to use a Ubuntu 20.04, which is on a SATA hard drive on a Thinkpad Yoga with Win 10 installed. It won't boot and I have tried changing between EUFI and legacy modes but no joy. All suggestions welcome!

We need to know more in order to find the problem and how to solve it. Please edit your original question and add information. Which version number has your Thinkpad Yoga? In what computer was your Ubuntu 20.04 installed (brand name and model)? Did it work there? Please tell us also about the graphics chips/cards in the two computers? - Please describe also what you notice when you try to boot from the USB hard drive in the Lenovo Thinkpad. Does anything at all happen - In that case what happens (how far is the boot process reaching before it fails, anything written to the screen, any sound )?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
