Using onboard VGA card for display and PCI nvidia geforece GPU for computation applications

gb flag

I have seen similar queations already posted, but none of them offer a solution to my problem. I have installed an Nvidia Geforce 3070 PCI card to use it's GPU for computation apps. When the nvidia driver (470.x) is installed the GPU is available, but the system does not see the onboard graphics card (Integrated ATI Radeon HD 4290), which I want to use for the display, so that the nvidia card is available only for GPU computation. Currently, I need to use the nvidia PCI card for computation and it's HDMI signal to the monitor.

Info: gigabyte GA-890GPA-ud3h motherboard Ubuntu 20.04

Since the bios can only switch between onboard and PCI graphics card and there is no multi-monitor or onboard video options, I figure I cannot setup the wanted configuration. The only option I see as possible so far, is to turn on the onboard card and then somehow setup ubuntu to run a driver for the ATI onboard card and also the nvidia driver for the GPU computations.

Any ideas will be very welcome!!! Tnx.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
