Getting "Authenticating the upgrade failed" message every time I try to upgrade from Ubuntu 18.04 LTS to 20.04

mx flag

So, I keep getting the same error when upgrading from Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS to Ubuntu 20.04. I get upgrade suggestion from Software Update daily, and would really like to upgrade.

I have tried several times, using terminal as well, but I am new with Linux, so I couldn't figure out what went wrong there.

What should I do when this appears?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
