How can I get Ubuntu to stop notifying me of updates?

in flag

How can I get Ubuntu to stop asking me to update my system? I've tried two things in its configurations, dconf-editor and in the "Software & Updates", and clearly neither has worked. enter image description here

Update: Probably a duplicate of How to turn off Software updater? (Xubuntu)

It's right there in your screenshot: "Security Updates: Display Immediately"

Except I also have "no-show-notifications" on, and I can't disable security updates. The alternatives were worse. Also I have "check for updates" set to "never", so you'd think they wouldn't ever display.

To all voters for duplicate: this question is on disabling notifications for updates, not on disabling the updater.

Whatever makes that "Software Updater" pop-up go away and never come back is the solution for me.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
