lsusb detects my USB but lsblk and fdisk doesn't, graphical "disks" app detects the device but format partition and format disk options are disabled

sa flag

I am using Ubuntu 21.10

lsusb detects my usb device as -

Bus 001 Device 005: ID ffff:1201

But in lsblk the device is not detected

Graphical app "disks" can detect the device as /dev/sdb -

But the format partition option is disabled -

Format disk option is also disabled -

enter image description here

Since the device is detected as /dev/sdb, I issue the following fdisk command -

sudo fdisk /dev/sdb

But it gives the error -

fdisk: cannot open /dev/sdb: No medium found

To be noted everything was working fine. The problem started after I issued the command -

sudo apt install cryptsetup

Also this is a new pen drive with no data in it, so no data backup is needed.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
