How to add space to the hibernate partition with LVM and FDE

ad flag

I'm new to Ubuntu and just installed the latest version. I'd like to increase the swap partition which is encrypted (FDE) and LVM, how can I archive this?

$ swapon --show

Welcome to Ask Ubuntu. What do you mean by latest version? Good idea to describe your hardware in a bit more detsil too. Thanks!

You're possible using the *latest* release (21.10 or the 2021-October release), but most users on this site refer to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (ie. 2020-April release, or four releases ago) as being the *latest* as it's the *latest LTS* release. Please be precise.

Thanks for the response. I used Ubuntu 21.10, I have 16 GB RAM and want to enlarge my LVM swap partition but the partition is encrypted with FDE.

I had to reinstall multiple times now, I can't figure it out. Any advice is welcome.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
