Login without passphrase after FDE

in flag

I installed Ubuntu (image from dell) 20.04 with full disk encryption(FDE). Encryption went fine but I am forced to enter passphrase which I used for encryption, every time system starts. Is there a way to bypass the passphrase entry by using TPM or some other mechanism without removing FDE.

Thanks in advance.

TPM in Ubuntu is handled by the `tcsd`, provided by the `trousers` package. See `man tcsd`.

Be aware that what you want negates any benefit of encryption if someone has physical access to the machine.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
