Partition sda3 Format sda

ms flag

I have 1 TB hard drive I want to partition it to 2 independent drives. Tried to use Gparted. Operation is failing because sda3 can’t be unmounted, I think because it has ubuntu system file.

Please advise what can I do?

You need to boot from a Live USB.

Just to be clear: you want to use an OS to delete the very partition the OS you are running to delete the partition is installed on?

The hard drive I have is all one partition in linux format. I want to split a part of it to be in ExFat. or NTFS to install windows. But I can't. because the only drive that runs the pc is mounted.

There's also a small portion of 5 gb named "Microsoft reserved partition" I don't know what to do with it

It doesn't accept resize because it's mounted.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
