Wifi disconnecting on ubuntu 20.04 and not reconnecting unless i restart

az flag

I run ubuntu off a persistent live usb and recently I've been having a problem where around 5-15 minutes after I boot into ubuntu my wifi disconnects and says that i have been disconnected from the network and when i check the wifi tab it does not detect any internet connections nearby and turning it on and off does nothing, rebooting ubuntu fixes it for 5-15 minutes but then the same problem ensues, I've tried turning off NetworkManager's power save in the config file and disabling secure boot but nothing helped, the computer i am currently running on is a HP Pavillion Sleekbook 15

running lshw -C network gives out

update: neither sudo service network-manager restart nor sudo service NetworkManager restart fixes the issue and journalctl only gives me a warning message with no errors when it cuts out again which is Nov 16 23:06:44 ubuntu NetworkManager[1940]: <warn> [1637089604.5868] ifupdown: interfaces file /etc/network/interfaces doesn't exist

23/11/22: Ive reinstalled ubuntu and that fixed my problem for 3 days but this same problem has reoccurred even though I haven't tampered with anything network related

have you tried `sudo service network-manager restart` in terminal to see if that works as opposed to restarting your pc?

Look at the logs! `sudo journalctl -b 0 -u NetworkManager`. Read `man journalctl`.

@waltinator checked the logs, No errors but i did get this warning about 4 times ```Nov 16 23:06:44 ubuntu NetworkManager[1940]: <warn> [1637089604.5868] ifupdown: interfaces file /etc/network/interfaces doesn't exist``` if it helps i also noted my entire pc lagging for about 30 seconds before and after the wifi turning off, could this be an external problem?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
