Restore data after I accidentally deleted Ubuntu

br flag

I accidentally deleted the partition with Ubuntu (I use dual boot with Windows 11) and would like to restore the data or if possible the whole operating system. I have already tried with TestDisk and with a wrong input I only see the UEFI settings and Windows is no longer shown as a boot option (it is an Asus computer). Thanks in advance for the help.

TestDisk is the only tool I know of that can recover data deleted in this manner. If it doesn't work, reinstall the OS and restore from backups. If the data is important (why isn't it backed up?) - Take it to a data recovery specialist. Be warned, they charge a lot of money for this service.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
