kernel modules restricted on a system with secure boot disabled

pl flag

I have a system with EFI BIOS but without Secure Boot, but system refuses to load third party modules (vmware modules) with the "unsigned module loading is restricted; see man kernel_lockdown.7" error. If "mokutil" executed the response is: "This system doesn't support Secure Boot"

What's happening? Not having Secure Boot implies kernel modules don't need be signed. Even worse, "/var/lib/shim-signed/" folder is empty. There isn't any key to sign modules.

The computer is an Hp-Elite-8300 with EFI BIOS, but Secure Boot is disabled.

OS is Ubuntu 21.10 server edition.

How to solve this?

Thanks!!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
