Troubles with js0 and js1 using the xboxdrv

au flag

Well, I've got generic Bluetooth gamepad and I want it to be a X360 gamepad. So, I've installed xboxdrv and it's working fine, but... Xboxdrv created new device as /dev/input/js1. Not many games can work with that, they looking for /dev/input/js0 device, which is understandable, because it's first player's slot. So, what can I do with it? I tried --daemon flag, but it seems this feature works only with real X360 gamepads. I read in xboxdrv manual that I can delete js0 file and rename js1 to js0, but it's nonsense, I typed sudo mv js1 js0 command and miracle doesn't happened. Maybe there are some other options? Something like x360ce on Windows

crw-rw-r--+ 1 root input 13, 0 дек 6 14:28 js0

Miracles don't exist. Your goal doesn't depend on miracles though, it possibly depends on, as you said, *delete js0 file and rename js1 to js0*, something that ISN'T done with the command you used.

You need to actually delete one file and rename the other, something the that can be done only after deleting the first.

Please [edit] your question and add after plugin your pad `ls -al /dev/input/ | grep js`

okay, I see `/dev/input/js0` did you something rename before? If so reboot and again please.

no, I haven't rename anything. That is the problem. My gamepad is js0, then I use xboxdrv and it creates js1 because js0 is already taken

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
