RealTek 8111 IC not recognized

cn flag

Im having problems to get Ubuntu to recognize my Realtek 8111 IC.

If i do a lspci.- its not showing. (as far as i can see):

Terminal View

I installed the r8168-dkms driver - which should support the Realtek 8111 network IC.

If its not recognized in hardware, it's not going to do anything.

In advance-

Thanks

"If i do a lspci.- its not showing. (as far as i can see):" I agree. If you need ethernet, there are many USB ethernet devices available quite inexpensively and almost every one works with Ubuntu. Welcome to Ask Ubuntu.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
