I'm in need of this driver (i think) so ubuntu will hopefully recognize an nvme blade drive from a mac that's housed in a PCIe card plugged into the motherboard. trying to recover data. thanks anyone!!

Can you describe the exact problem you are encountering? Why do you think you need a driver?

If the device is an NVMe storage unit from the recent MacPro, those things are encrypted and only readable on hardware equipped with a T2 “security” chip …

thank you. hopefully these are relevant answers--i see Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS, and possibly 5.11.0-43-generic (obtained from uname -r command). it's a drive from a 2015 iMac so security isn't the issue. the problem i'm having is it's not showing up in the "Disks" application

Please clarify your specific problem or provide additional details to highlight exactly what you need. As it's currently written, it's hard to tell exactly what you're asking.

if you can give me specifics about what you might be lacking, that would be great, because i'm not sure what i can share beyond this: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS, kernel 5.11.0-43, trying to recover data from a blade drive from a 2015 iMac which is currently housed in a PCIe card plugged into a slot on a HP 6200 Pro desktop. the driver is the intel c200 chipset family. trying to recover data and it's not showing up in the Disks application in ubuntu. thanks again

Do you know what file system is on the drive? If it used APFS you're probably going to have to connect it to a working Mac. For that, you can thank Apple for their proprietary file system for which they will not provide documentation so that other operating systems can read and write to the file system. There are some projects that have attempted to reverse-engineer it with varying success. I'd take caution using these tools on an already broken file system as it could potentially make the problem worse. See: https://github.com/linux-apfs/linux-apfs-rw

yes, that must be what it is, it was apfs. thank you

you can also take a look at [apfs-fuse](https://github.com/sgan81/apfs-fuse) and packages `libfsapfs1` and `libfsapfs-utils` (in the software center / apt). It might be a good idea to make a bit-for-bit copy of your hard drive before you attempt any repairs or anything of that nature. That way, you can work on the copy instead of the original drive.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
