Internal cameras not detected

za flag

I recently installed Ubuntu (20.04) on my Surface pro (2017). I had to install this kernel thing to stabilize some stuff that's probably unrelated to the camera issue and followed this guide to even get Ubuntu to recognize my laptop's cameras. I can now access my cameras using qcam and cheese, but the programs I actually want to use my cameras with -Telegram and Skype- can't seem to detect them. I've tried executing the

snap connect telegram-desktop:camera

command, but it didn't seem to do anything.

This is my first time installing a linux-based OS, my first time even leaving Windows, so please ELI5, where possible.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
