How do I install drivers for Veikk Tablet (A15)?

cn flag

I was able to get Ubuntu Software working from my previous question, but now I can't install the driver for my Veikk tablet (A15).

I downloaded the official version, but Ubuntu Software doesn't show any software for it. When I try to install the file I downloaded using the terminal, I get the following error:

$ sudo apt install vktablet-1.0.3-2-x86_6.deb
sudo: /usr/bin/sudo must be owned by uid 0 and have the setuid bit set

After I downloaded the driver from the official site, it appeared to be locked because it had a tiny red lock icon at the bottom which I managed to remove.

I am using Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS and I have GNOME version 3.36.8.

Try what is being suggested here: https://askubuntu.com/a/699431/1210606 Otherwise I'm afraid you must reinstall Ubuntu and then be careful and not mess with permissions if you don't know what you're doing.

Where did you obtain the software you downloaded? Does that source include any installation instructions?

Does this answer your question? [chroot : sudo: /usr/bin/sudo must be owned by uid 0 and have the setuid bit set](https://askubuntu.com/questions/1326289/chroot-sudo-usr-bin-sudo-must-be-owned-by-uid-0-and-have-the-setuid-bit-set) . Then use `sudo apt install ./vktablet-1.0.3-2-x86_6.deb` or `gdebi-gtk vktablet-1.0.3-2-x86_6.deb` .

Your other question was closed as duplicate of other question. Have you tried what was suggested? Why haven't you posted your Ubuntu release/version like previously requested? Please [edit] the question accordingly.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
