How to ping computer that is connected via 'shared to other computers'?

fr flag

I have my main computer running Ubuntu mate 20.04 and I am sharing a wired ethernet connection via the network manager 'shared to other computer' feature. How can I ping or connect to any devices that are on this shared connection? One complication may be that I am running a VPN on the main computer and I like that this vpn is also extended to the device on the shared connection. The VPN on main computer is initiated with openvpn. The ip address on the main computer is looking like 192.168.2.xxx and the computer utilizing the shared connection has an ip that looks like 10.42.0.xxx

Is there some way to route to the machine that inherited the vpn on the shared connection? Thanks.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
