Encryption of external hard drive failed

pk flag

I have an problem with my external hard drive. It is fully Luks-encrypted and normally unlocks automatically on boot-up. Maybe it got ejected without safely disconnecting it.

When I connect the drive two partitions show up in Nautilus: 'Boot' and 'Rootfs' and the rest is free disk space.

I don't really know what to do. Can someone help me restoring my data?

Thanks. If you need extra info, terminal-outputs, etc. let me know.

Did you back up the encryption headers? If the drive is failing or the file system is corrupted and you do not have any backups and the whole disk is encrypted, you're not going to be able to recover anything

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
