PC running slow after installing Ubuntu 20.04

in flag

So I just changed my OS from Windows 10 to Ubuntu 20.04 and, because I couldn't access boot options with my graphics card, I took it out. I then installed Ubuntu and it ran normally until I put my graphics card back into the PC.

Now its really laggy. I checked the System Monitor and everything's normal. I also have all drivers installed.

What should I do?

For the sake of fairness, could you [edit] your question to include: (0) the hardware specs of your computer (1) the brand and model of your video card (2) how you define “slowness”, which is subjective as all heck. With this information, it *might* be possible to offer an answer that makes sense to you

And also what drivers did you install and how exactly did you do it.

I didn't install any drivers, I just checked in additional drivers if there are some drivers that need to be downloaded and there were none

What do you mean you couldn't access boot options with your graphics card? Were you having problems with Windows before you switched? Because there could be a hardware problem. I would not have removed the GPU prior to system installation, especially if you are not adept at fixing problems after-the-fact. It's best to connect the hardware you're going to use during system installation. It might be best to try to solve that problem first.

Please edit your question and include the output of the following three commands: `sudo lshw -c video` and `lsmod | grep amd` and `dmesg | grep -i amdgpu` Also, when you edit your question, after you paste the output, highlight the output and then press CTRL+K before you save the edits. This will properly format the pasted code in your question. Thanks.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
