Blender crashing while dealing with complicated tasks

us flag

I have used Blender 3.0.0 both from the default software repository and even from flathub and both versions crash when I import relatively complicated meshes and high resolution textures (e.g. https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/pile-of-dirt-c86a4e9d981d4f029cc9261fde52cb7c). This model crashes my program when I try to view it with textures and even though it may be complicated it definitely shouldn't crash my system. This has never happened to me on Windows. Only when I switched to Ubuntu have I experienced many crashes performing generic actions (importing big meshes (from the example) and sculpting with dynotopo). I tried reading online and someone's solution was to switch to nvidia 450 server driver. Didn't work for me. At the very least, I would be greatful if someone could actually test out to see if this is only a problem to me or if this is actually a linux problem for everyone.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
