unable to open settings and other commands in ubuntu 20.04

I installed a new ssd in my old dell laptop and i installed ubuntu in it directly from a bootable drive. For sometime it run very well but now in my ubuntu i'm unable to open my settings and run several commands on terminal. Evry command that I run on terminal shows that their is no file relating to it. some are ** The repository 'cdrom://Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS Focal Fossa - Release amd64 (20210819) focal Release' does not have a Release file.**

Simply comment out this `cdrom` line and retry running `sudo apt-get update` .
