Wired headphones don't produce sound while bluetooth ones do

I've installed Ubuntu (21.10 impish indri) recently but i noticed that the system doesn't have any sound with 3.5mm headphone jack, i tried a lot of the solutions online to no avail, but when i tried bluetooth headphones they worked just fine and sound actually works. im still pretty new so idk what kinda commands to run to troubleshoot the problem to give more details yet so please guide me the pc is a pretty old pc with optiplex 3310 motherboard i3-2100 6gb ram gt610

Could you [edit] your question to include: (0) the exact version of Ubuntu you're running (1) the brand and model of your computer (2) the type of headphones (USB/3.5mm/etc.). With this, it may be easier to offer a solution

After connecting into the 3.5mm jack have you check sound settings and confirmed you have selected the intended output? It's not automatic in many hardware configurations.

i have yes and still doesn't work, might be a driver problem that i have no clue how to fix because the headphones work just fine in windows
