How gnome perform privileged tasks without root such as brightness control?

in flag

I want to know how gnome performs some privileged tasks without asking root password? As an example brightness value resides in /sys/class/backlight/*adapter*/brightness and write access is only for root user. And gnome-shell run as a normal user and is able to perform change value. Also xrandr is able to do without root privileges. This is one instance. I appreciate it if anyone able to provide some reference to how those privileges work.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
