Greetings. I will try my best to explain precisely the problem i am facing currently.
- Prepared a portable Ubuntu desktop version 18.04.6 in San Disk 3.0 Ultra flash drive.
- Changed the BIOS settings to boot first from USB drive.
- It didn't recognize the USB drive and windows for loaded.
- Then i made changes in BIOS to enable legacy boot and disabled secure boot, disabled (unchecked) the fast boot option. In all my attempts, the Ubuntu didn't get loaded and windows got loaded instead. During legacy boot, the bit locker recovery code was given and was very well accepted by the Windows OS.
- Repeated this many times but of no use or success.
- The details are:
a) Laptop: HP Probook 430 G5.
b) BIOS: Upgraded to the current version 01.18.00
c) Ubuntu desktop version 18.04.6 downloaded from Ubuntu site.
d) Rufus version Rufus x86 v3.17.1846 (Portable).
Note: While creating the Ubuntu bootable disk using rufus, initially i faced a problem with the following error messages as given below:
Failed to open \EFI\boot\mmx64.efi - Not Found
Failed to load image \EFI\boot\mmx64.efi - Not Found
Failed to start MokManager : Not Found
Something has gone seriously wrong: import_mok_state() failed: Not Found
Browsed the ask ubuntu site for the problem stated above and resolved the issue and prepared the portable Ubuntu desktop OS.
I could load the OS only once after which i faced a lot of problems as explained above and never succeeded.
I humbly request all concerned to support me to get around the problem i am facing and work with Ubuntu Desktop.
Thanks in advance.
