Nautilus network drives not accessible from the browser and applications (AFP)

ru flag

I have a Synology NAS which I connect to via AFP. The files are accessible via Nautilus (Files) application.

However, I cannot access this location (bookmark) from an application e.g. Chrome.

But if I paste the whole path like this:

user/1000/gvfs/afp-volume:host=nas.local,user=<redacted>,volume=drive

I'm able to access the files from the browser and even save them there. What kind of bug am I experiencing? Is this a problem of Chrome (other applications) or is this related to Nautilus?

I noticed a similar question but OP used NFS to mount the directory which is not my case.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
