Permission Denied when executing find

bf flag

New Linux User going through STIGs for Ubuntu. I receive Permission Denied when executing find commands. Trying to find out why that is and how to get around it if possible.

I started off with Sudo -s to elevate all further commands. The commands that are throwing the errors and the errors follow.

find / -name '*.shosts' find: ‘/run/user/1000/gvfs’: Permission denied

find / -name shosts.equiv find: ‘/run/user/1000/gvfs’: Permission denied

find / -type d -perm -0002 -exec ls -lLd {} ; 1find: ‘/run/user/1000/gvfs’: Permission denied

find / -name aide.conf find: ‘/run/user/1000/gvfs’: Permission denied

find / -nouser find: ‘/run/user/1000/gvfs’: Permission denied

find / -perm -002 -type f -exec ls -ld {} ; find: ‘/run/user/1000/gvfs’: Permission denied

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
