Software Updater Popup – How Keep on Top?

cn flag

How does one keep the Software Updater Progress Pop-Up on top in Ubuntu (18.04 and 20.04 GNOME)? The first one telling me I have updates to run is fine – magically appears on the Desktop. The question is with the pop-up which appears when the updates are being downloaded and installed: it minimizes to the “A” in the Favourites bar and sometimes has been forgotten about with the older/slower machines around here.

I’ve tried clicking the “Always on Top” option, etc. – seems to be good for that one session only. I’d like the second/in progress popup to not minimize from the Desktop. (Settings > Notifications is on, including for Software Updater.)

Thanks!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
