Network cifs shares disconnecting multiple times per day on ubuntu 20.04

zw flag

I am running Ubuntu 20.04 with some network cifs shares mounted. These shares automatically unmount several times a day and, every time it happens, I need to restart the machine before they can be mounted again.

How can I fix this? It happens 7 ~ 8 times every day.

There should be a message in `/var/log/syslog` around the time that the Samba shares are disconnected that explains the problem. Do you see any messages? If so, can you [edit] your question to include that information? This will make it easier to offer a solution.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
