As titled, I was used to get my Canon EOS 40D working as webcam by killing all gphoto processes:
ps aux | grep gphoto
load the module:
sudo modprobe v4l2loopback exclusive_caps=1 max_buffers=2
and get the stream:
gphoto2 --stdout --capture-movie | ffmpeg -i - -vcodec rawvideo -pix_fmt yuv420p -threads 0 -f v4l2 /dev/video0
However, since the last kernel updates, right now being:
Linux 5800x 5.13.0-28-generic #31-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jan 13 17:41:06 UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I cant anymore get this working, the gphoto2
commands always returns:
elect@5800x:~$ gphoto2 --stdout --capture-movie | ffmpeg -i - -vcodec rawvideo -pix_fmt yuv420p -threads 0 -f v4l2 /dev/video0
