Ubuntu not waking from sleep and static on screen after locking computer

in flag

Can someone please point me in the right direction to solve these issues? I don't know enough yet to know if this is a driver issue or a linux kernel issue.

I have a new Lenovo laptop and I'm having some issues running ubuntu 20.04.3 on it.

If I put the computer to sleep, it will not respond to key presses or pressing the power button. I have to perform a hard shutdown and reboot it. Also, since I was having that issue, I set it to lock the computer when I close the screen instead of sleeping. When I reopen it, the screen is filled with static like an old tv on channel 03. I have to hard shutdown.

My laptop Specs: Lenevo Ideapad 5 16 GB ram 512GB SSD 6-Core Ryzen 5 4600U 14" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS Display, Integrated AMD Radeon Graphics

Any help or pointers appreciated. Thanks

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
